After an oustanding performance in the BMPS 2025 Grand Finals in New Delhi, Team Aryan, an underdog team, emerged as champions. The team not only bagged the title and INR 1.2 Crore prize pool, but also a golden opportunity to represent India at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After the win, Syrax, one of the star players of Team Aryan, sat down with SportsTiger to talk about their win, EWC 2025 dream, and what lies ahead.
“It feels amazing,” says Syrax after lifting the BMPS 2025 trophy
Syrax shared his emotions right after the BMPS 2025 grand finals, saying, “We’re feeling really good. When we first heard that the Esports World Cup 2025 slot was on the line, we started working even harder. Representing India on the global stage means a lot, especially since it's happening after a long time. Today’s win is special, but from tomorrow, our full focus will be on preparing for the World Cup. The entire country is behind us, and we want to make them proud.”
No roster changes planned: Team Aryan confident in their lineup
When asked if the team had any plans to bring in a loan player for the upcoming Esports World Cup 2025, Syrax clarified, “We might have some plans, but honestly, we don’t think there’s any need for a loan player. All four of us are winners. We’ve made it this far together, and we’re confident we can do well as a team. Our strength is our unity.”
“Honestly, during that particular game (last match), we weren’t sure we’d win. The opponents were playing really well, and each match was tough. But we didn’t lose hope and focused on one game at a time. That approach helped us turn things around,” he added.
Playing without a sponsor, but never without support: Syrax
One of the most inspiring aspects of Team Aryan’s journey is that they played without any official sponsor.
Syrax talked about how difficult it was and how family support helped them keep going. “It’s definitely tough to play without a sponsor. Financial challenges come up often. But our families stood by us throughout. They supported us during every difficult moment, and that’s what helped us reach here.”
With this amazing victory in the BMPS 2025, Team Aryan qualified for the Esports World Cup 2025. The team will represent India in the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025, which will take place from 25 July to 3 August in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
