Gujarat Titans (GT) all-rounder Rahul Tewatia posted pictures of his shoulder surgery in London on Friday, June 13. Tewatia was a part of GT camp in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Titans, under Shubman Gill’s captaincy, concluded their IPL 2025 campaign after losing to Mumbai Indians (MI) by 20 runs in the Eliminator game played in New Chandigarh. Talking about the left-handed batter’s performance in the season, he failed to be impressive with his bat for Titans, accumulating only 99 runs in 12 innings of 15 matches at a miserable average of 12.75. Before undergoing the surgery, Tewatia's picture with India vice-captain Rishabh Pant went viral on social media.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Tewatia dropped a few pictures of his surgery at King Edwards VII hospital in London. He also expressed gratitude towards the medical team, who performed the surgery. He captioned the post, “Shoulder Surgery. One step closer to healing and getting back stronger. Grateful for the team that got me through it and for everyone who’s checked in. Jai Shree Ram.”

Rahul Tewatia highly likely to aim for spot in Haryana for domestic season 2025-26

Rahul Tewatia will strive to record his presence for Haryana in the domestic season 2025-26. The 32-year-old has appeared in more than 232 games in the domestic circuit. Talking about his numbers as an all-rounder, he has racked 3837 and 160 wickets. Discussing his IPL records, he has amassed 32 wickets and 1112 runs in 108 contests in his 11-year league career.

Before the IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah, Tewatia was one of the five players who got retained by Gujarat. However, he failed to justify his role with his disheartening performance. His underwhelming numbers in IPL 2025 might place him on the list of GT’s released players ahead of the next auction of the cash-rich T20 tournament.
