In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, the latter’s opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi looked in incredible touch with his bat and obliterated the former’s bowling unit. Pursuing the score of 188, he along with his opening ally Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a ferocious start to the team. Both garnered 37 runs for the opening wickets in just 22 balls. Jaiswal departed after hitting 36 off just 19 but Suryavanshi refused to give his wicket and kept on smashing bowlers. Standing with his captain in the middle, he stitched a crucial 98-run stand for the second wicket.

In the 14th over, Samson fell against Ravichandran Ashwin after scoring 41 off 31 and following his skipper to the dugout, the 14-year-old also lost his wicket to the veteran spinner in the same over. The southpaw chipped in with 33-ball 57 which included eight boundaries (four maximums and four fours).
