Kusal Mendis set to join GT as replacement for Jos Buttler

Notably, Kusal Mendis has been picked by Gujarat Titans as replacement for their star wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler. Notably, Buttler is currently with the GT squad but won’t be taking part in the playoffs and is set to leave for England on May 26 for the upcoming white-ball series against West Indies.

GT are currently at the third spot in the points table of IPL 2025 with eight wins and three losses so far. They are currently in action in match number 60 of the season against Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. If GT wins this game, they will officially confirm their place in the IPL 2025 playoffs.
