Team India spinner Kuldeep Yadav got engaged to his childhood friend Vanshika in a private ceremony held in Lucknow on June 4. The leg-spinner was a part of Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League 2025 concluded on June 3. Although DC couldn’t be impressive in the marquee T20 tournament, Kuldeep did a fabulous job with the ball as he picked up 15 wickets in 14 games at a frugal economy of 7.07. With these figures, he also ended up as the leading wicket-taker for Delhi in the season. Capitals concluded their competition in the fifth spot on the points tally with seven wins and six losses in 14 matches.

Kuldeep and Vanshika’s engagement ceremony witnessed the presence of their family members and close friends. The 30-year-old’s Team India colleague and close friend Rinku Singh also registered his presence at the event. In pictures going viral on social media, both Kuldeep and Vanshika can be seen holding each others' hands at the event and wearing smiles on their faces.

Kuldeep Yadav will be vital for India in England Test series

Kuldeep Yadav will be a part of Team India for the upcoming five-match Test series to be played in England. His role will be to assist the spin-bowling spearhead and veteran Ravindra Jadeja to bolster India’s bowling attack. In his 11-year career, he has played only 13 Tests and this time, he has the opportunity to deliver his best to the team in challenging English conditions and cement his place in India’s red-ball squad.

In England, Kuldeep has played only one Test. Back in 2018, when India toured England for the five Tests, he was part of the side in the second contest played at the iconic Lord’s. In the game, he bowled only nine overs and gave away 44 runs without getting any wickets. Talking about his overall Test numbers against England, it’s impressive as he has bagged 21 wickets in 11 innings of six games.
