After going down in the series opener of the five-match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in Leeds, the Shubman Gill-led Team India put up a dominating performance, especially with the bat with the skipper the side from the front in the ongoing second Test in Birmingham. After scoring a double-century in the first innings, Shubman Gill posted 161 off 162 in the second innings and helped India put a mammoth target of 608 for the English side.
However, the game looks well poised at the moment with India needing seven wickets to win whereas England need a massive 536 runs to go 2-0 up in the series. Speaking of the afternoon, the temperature is expected to go up to 20°C with the probability of precipitation dropping down to only 16%. However, it will continue to remain cloudy and breezy, as per the listing on Accuweather. The wind gusts of around 50 km/h, is expected to blow away a passing shower quite quickly from the city, hoping fans to witness an uninterrupted day’s play in the England versus India second Test at Edgbaston.
