The 21-year-old Colombian international Jhon Duran, who is known for his prolific finishing & goal-scoring, signed a deal with Fenerbahce. Duran, who joined the Saudi giants, Al-Nssr on a permanent deal from Aston Villa for a record transfer fee of £70m, played a massive role for the side to finish third on the table in the previous campaign. Just after six months of joining the club, he is now ready for a new chapter in new colours for the upcoming campaign.
The Turkish side Fenerbahce have managed to reach an agreement with Al Nassr to sign Jhon Duran on a loan move for a year. The Colombian international will now be joining his new squad, managed by Jose Mourinho, who considers him as a very talented, young prospect. They will be hoping to clinch the title with him providing the attacking boost to the team after they finished second in the Turkish league last season. On his signing, Fenerbahce said that they hope Duran will have "a season full of success" in their yellow striped kit.
Jhon Duran set to return to European football just six months after his transfer to middle-east
Just six-months into joining the Saudi club and scoring 12 goals in 18 appearances, Duran is set to return to European football. He previously played in Europe with Aston Villa in their historical European run. He scored 12 goals in 29 games and played a major role in helping Aston Villa reach the knockout stages of the Champions League. However, the Villa fans were in disbelief when the Colombian decided to leave the team in the middle of the season.
He had become the super-sub of the team after successfully scoring match-winning goals in the dying minutes of the game. However, in the January transfer window, he made a decision to move to the Saudi club after his successful time at Aston Villa. Fenerbahce will look to make the most of this crucial signing and will hope to win the league in the upcoming campaign.
