In a viral video doing rounds on the internet, a Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) supporter can be seen putting his life in danger to worship India batting maestro Virat Kohli. Following Challengers maiden IPL title win, RCB supporters displayed enthusiasm and celebrated victory. Virat Kohli also couldn’t control his emotions and was seen in tears. However, on June 4, RCB’s celebration faded after a stampede in Bengaluru, which claimed 11 lives and also injured several people. Amidst these troubled times, a clip is going viral on social media in which a man donning an RCB jersey can be seen standing in front of a massive poster of Kohli.

Later, he was seen holding a sharp object which he uses to cut his wrist to apply blood on Kohli’s picture. With blood pouring out of his hand, the man looks unfazed and puts it on the 36-year-old poster. Kohli did a brilliant job in RCB’s maiden title win. Notching up 657 runs with eight half-centuries in 15 matches at a strike rate of 144.71, he ended up as the third-highest run-getter in the tournament.

Virat Kohli to feature for India in a couple of overseas bilateral ODI series this year

Virat Kohli will next aim to help India win ODI series in Bangladesh and Australia this year. In August, the Men in Blue will take on Najmul Hoosain Shanto’s team in three ODIs. India haven’t won any ODI series in Bangladesh since 2014. In December 2022, when India clashed against the Bangla team for three ODIs, the visitors recorded a 2-1 defeat.

A couple of months after the Bangla tour, India will travel to Australia for a three-match ODI series. Under Rohit Sharma, the side will look to beat the Aussies in their backyard for the first time after six years. Back in 2019, India won the 50-over series Down Under by 2-1 under Kohli’s leadership.
