England are all set to host Team India in the third Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy to be played at the iconic Lord’s in London from July 10. In the second game, India played an aggressive brand of cricket and hammered the home side by 336 runs. India skipper Shubman Gill shone with his bat and became the player of the match (POTM) for his stunning knocks of 269 and 161. Following the victory in the second match, Team India will look to take the winning momentum ahead at Lord’s in London, while England will look to bounce back at the iconic venue.
At the illustrious ground, England have dominated India with 12 wins in 19 matches. However, Team India will be relieved as they have won their last two matches off their three outings at this venue. A couple of hours prior to the third match, Lord’s Grace Gate witnessed a big English crowd donning the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) colours.
Mohammed Siraj’s sensational record at Lord’s in London
Mohammed Siraj has an exceptional bowling record at Lord’s. In 2021, when India beat England by 151 runs, the pacer looked outstanding with the ball. He picked up a couple of four-wicket hauls to guide India to the comprehensive win. Siraj, who spearheaded India’s fast-bowling attack confidently in the second Test, will be expected to shine with the ball at Lord’s as well. In Birmingham, Siraj grabbed six wickets in the first innings and helped India have a command over the game.
Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is also highly likely to feature in India’s playing XI for the upcoming game. With Bumrah’s return, India’s pace attack is expected to feature a formidable trio of Bumrah, Siraj, and Akash Deep, who took a six-wicket-haul in the previous match.
