Delhi Capitals’ Sediqullah Atal got lucky in his debut IPL game against Punjab Kings at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Chasing a target of 207 runs in match number 66 of IPL 2025, DC got a good start as skipper Faf du Plessis and KL Rahul added 55 runs for the first wicket in the 5.3 overs. Du Plessis got out after scoring 23(15) runs while Rahul scored 35(21) runs. After that, Karun Nair took charge of the innings along with debutant Sediqulllah Atal. In the 10th over of the innings, Marcus Stoinis bowled a full toss which Atal drove through covers. However, the ball was in the air for a while and Harpreet Brar attempted to take a catch but failed.

On the next delivery, Sediqullah Atal attempted to play a big shot but the ball didn’t get too far and Jos Inglis was there to take the catch. However, the PBKS wicketkeeper failed to take an easy catch as Sediqullah Atal survived two catch drops in two consecutive deliveries. PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta also looked in disbelief with these two catch drops. On the very next ball, Atal smashed a huge six against Stoinis. However, his innings couldn’t last long as he was dismissed by Praveen Dubey after scoring 22(16) runs.
