The match started with quick attacks from both the sides in the first five minutes and Thibaut Courtois had to make two breathtaking point blank saves to keep Madrid in the game in the early stages.
The sixth minute saw PSG take the lead after Dembele charged a counter to steal the ball from Raul Asencio and forced a rookie mistake from him, which led to a simple finish by their midfielder Fabian Ruiz. The second goal for PSG came from a mistake of the same fashion as the first goal, this time by Antonio Rudiger which led to Dembele pouncing on the ball and putting it into the bottom corner to put them 2-0 up. PSG then launched a beautiful game of passing from the back and found the gaps in the Madrid defence, producing a brilliant cross from Hakimi to Fabian Ruiz, who then scored another to make it 3-0 with a sublime finish.
