Several players have played the IPL and become sensations. Many have broken into the Indian national team. But only a few have been able to create loyalties that have outlasted time and several editions of the tournament. Let us look at the players in the IPL who've played all throughout with one franchise:
Sunil Narine
A brilliant all rounder, someone who can tire out batters all day leaving them confused with his marvellous ability to spin and a handy and often times, destructive left hander, Sunil Narine has been a colossus for his KKR franchise. It's the team with which he's played every single edition of his IPL journey, having begun way back in the year 2012.
The Trinidadian who's not a fan of big words anyway has claimed 3 titles with the famed Kolkata team playing a brilliant hand in each of those successes.
Kieron Pollard
The big burly Trinidadian, a legend of the game's briefest format and someone who would hit effortlessly sixes and make runs for fun had been with Mumbai Indians for the entirety of his career in the IPL.
From the onset of 2010 to 2022, Pollard had been with Mumbai Indians and played a critical part in their several triumphs.
Virat Kohli
The legendary batter has played all throughout with the famous RCB and made tons of runs, as a matter of fact, 8,600 plus of them for Bangalore. His incredible hundreds and calm abilities with the bat have made him an icon and he'll always be that way. The embodiment of the number 18 on the jersey is a proof of Kohli's persistence now that his team has finally claimed its crown.
Jasprit Bumrah
Clearly, the best fast bowler of his generation and, arguably speaking, the best current fast bowler who's as hard to pick as he's immensely hard to score off, Bumrah has been the backbone of Mumbai Indians' bowling attack since 2013, which is when he began his journey with MI. Make no mistake he's been a critical part of helping Mumbai clinching five IPL titles.
Shane Warne
The King of spin, the legendary Shane Warne, who led the great Rajasthan Royals to their only title triumph back in the day, happened to play each of his IPL contest for the Rajasthan Royals franchise. He played there from the onset of 2008 until 2011 and played four consecutive seasons.
Sachin Tendulkar
The batting ace, the little genius represented the great Mumbai Indians, still very much a threatening force to reckon with in the IPL, for six seasons. That was until he retired in 2013, however, that wasn't before claiming a crown with his home city based franchise.
Lasith Malinga
The legendary 'King of sling' played each of his IPL contest for the famed Mumbai Indians, in that he mirrored the great and emotional feat of legends like Sachin. Malinga's career in the IPL began in 2009 and would continue until 2019, and he would also see a title triumph in the midst of it all. With his brilliant fast bowling punctuated by toe-crushing Yorkers, the Sri Lankan became quite a threat in the completion.
