The highly-anticipated five-match Test series between England and India kickstarted with the first Test on Friday, June 20 at Headingley, Leeds. With the onset of the first Test, the two teams also kicked-off their respective World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle after South Africa reined victorious against Australia in this year’s summit clash by five wickets just a few days ago.

Speaking about it, the weather on day two of the first Test is expected to be partly sunny, warm with spells of humidity during the day. While the temperature is expected to hit 29 degree Celcius with a hevier t-storm in the afternoon followed by thunderstorms and downpour, according to the listings on AccuWeather.
The probability of precipitation on Saturday, June 21, stands at 77%, with winds blowing in from the south. During the upcoming day’s play, the probability of thunderstorm also stands at 31% with cloud cover expected to be around 44%. As predicted by Accuweather, the temperature is expected to drop down to 15 degree Celcius with a couple of showers and heavy thunderstorm in the evening.
The probability of precipitation rises to 81%, while the thunderstorm chances also see a rise to 49%. If rains spoils play on Day 2, which is highly likely, then the fans could expect interruption in day’s play in the England versus India first Test at Headingley.
