Recently, she shattered her silence on becoming the subject of viral content.

Kavya, the daughter of Sun Group Chairman Kalanithi Maran, recently appeared in an interview with Fortune India and said that her zeal for the game brings out the reactions which the cameraman captures. "Those are my raw emotions that you're seeing because my job has brought me to the point that I have to put myself out there. In Hyderabad, I can't do anything; I have to sit there. That's the only place I can sit. But even when I go to Ahmedabad or Chennai, and I'm sitting many feet away, somewhere in the box, the cameraman manages to find me. So, I understand how it becomes memes,” said Maran.

Kavya Maran’s affection for SRH

Kavya also divulged her fondness for her team SRH. “When it comes to Sunrisers, I genuinely wear my heart on my sleeve. I think when you put your heart and soul into something, you naturally tend to get very personally attached to its successes and failures,” added Kavya

This year, SRH couldn’t perform upto expectations as the IPL 2016 champions, under Pat Cummins’ leadership, failed to qualify for the playoffs. They concluded their campaign in the sixth spot on the points table with six wins and seven defeats in 14 outings.
