Team India's One-Day International (ODI) captain Rohit Sharma was seen spending his leisure time in Mumbai recently. Rohit, who is on a break following the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, was seen getting public attention while venturing out in the city. The 38-year-old retired from international Test cricket on May 7, 2025, and with this decision, he will deliver his services to Team India in the 50-over format only. His supporters want him to don the Team India jersey in the Cricket World Cup 2027, set to be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

In a viral video on social media, Rohit can be seen encircled by his fans and heading towards his car. Among the crowd, a supporter asks the legendary India batter to be vigilant while sitting in the car. Rohit, who was alert, reacted to the fan’s advice with a smile and said, "Arey kay karto tu mala samaj nahi aya, puran gondhal karun takla tumhi, chala bhetato bhetato (Hey, what you’re doing, I didn’t understand. You messed it up, let’s meet later)."

The veteran will next be seen in action in August, when Team India will tour Bangladesh for three ODIs. The 50-over series will be played from August 17 to 23. This year, the star player has appeared in eight ODIs, in which he has accumulated 302 runs with a fifty and a hundred.

Under his captaincy, India won their second Champions Trophy title in Dubai. With this success, he also became the first Team India skipper to win two consecutive International Cricket Council (ICC) trophies.
